The Owl Logo
-
-
- The symbol of the Joan White Howell Environmental Education Center. When
- we first visited Clay Hill Memorial Forest, we heard owls hooting in the wood.
- The logo was adapted from an original oil painting by Dorthy Maurice Weddle.
- The image was painted on a piece of driftwood found along the Ohio River
- near Vevay, Indiana. The painting was completed when Dorthy was 80 years old.
